About the Coalition

The University of Maryland Alcohol Coalition is a committee with broad representation across campus departments dedicated to reducing the harmful effects of alcohol by streamlining and coordinating prevention policies, programs, and services at the University.

Mission, Goals, and Objectives

Mission

The mission of the Campus Coalition on Alcohol is to reduce the harmful affects of alcohol to self and others.

Goals of the Coalition

To decrease the negative consequences of drinking.
To increase the students using protective behaviors around drinking.
To change campus culture around alcohol.

Objectives

Reduce high-risk drinking
Reduce the number of students reporting alcohol affects academic performance.
Reduce alcohol related incidents that cause harm to others on campus
